How it is funded
Where the purse comes from
Thirty-two per cent of all championship income is allocated to prize money before anything else is spent. That allocation is published in the governance policy and audited after the championship.

How and when winners are paid
Presented
On the field at the Championship Awards Ceremony on finals night.
Paid
By bank transfer within fourteen days of the ceremony, in USD or the competitor's local currency.
Crew splits
Divided evenly across the registered crew — three equal shares, paid individually.
Taxes
Winners are responsible for tax in their own country; the host country's withholding rules are published with the host announcement.
Disputes
A protest that affects a podium place is resolved before any payment is made.

Title sponsorship raises it, and we will say by how much
A Presenting Sponsor can match the purse. If that happens the increase is published here immediately and applies to every registered competitor, including those who entered at the early bird rate.
