Room blocks are negotiated at three levels so a student competitor and a sponsor delegation can both attend. Every partner property sits on a free shuttle line to the field.

Getting there and around

Airport transfers, shuttles and parking

The field will be outside the host city — reachable, but not walkable. Plan on the shuttle; it is the fastest way in and out on finals day.

Airport transfer $18 each way
Booked with your package or separately. Meets every scheduled arrival on the two days before the event.
Event shuttle Free with any pass
Every fifteen minutes from the partner hotels and the city centre, from two hours before the first bell until an hour after the last.
Accessible transfer Free
Wheelchair-accessible vehicles on request, booked at least 48 hours ahead through the visitor desk.
Car parking $8 per day
Signed field parking a short walk from the gates, with a separate accessible area beside the grandstand entrance.
Coach and group parking Free, pre-booked
For clubs, schools and delegations arriving together. Register the vehicle in advance.
Local attractions

Two days either side are worth taking

Once the host is named this becomes a real list with real names. The shape of it is already set with the tourism board: a city day, a country day, a food-and-drink day, and one thing you would not have found alone.

A city day
The old quarter on foot with a local guide, the national museum, and the market where the kite paper is sold.
A country day
Out to the hills or the coast, depending on the host — the same landscape that gives the field its wind.
Food and drink
Cellars, vineyards or coffee country, chosen with the tourism board and priced for competitors, not tour groups.
One thing you would not find alone
A workshop, a monastery, a craft village — the recommendation the host insists we include.
