01 · BoilerplateKite Wars is an international kite-fighting championship organized by Timl. Competitors fly single-line kites with marshal-fitted blades in timed heats; a cut line ends a competitor's heat, and fallen kites are recovered from the drop zone. The founding edition flies in summer 2027 in a host country now in ministry-level negotiation. Entry is open to individuals and to crews of three, and a competitor may enter both classes. A note on claims: kite fighting is centuries old and competed in a dozen countries. Kite Wars is the first world championship of the Haitian blade form, and the first to run one rulebook, one world ladder and one crown across those cultures. Please do not describe it as the first kite-fighting competition. 02 · The origin storyThe founder grew up in Haiti flying kites almost daily and fighting them in the air with blades tied to the tails — a game adults joined as readily as children, where cut kites became prizes for whoever found them first. There was no bracket and no purse, only reputation, and reputation was enough to fill an afternoon for a whole summer. Kite Wars formalises that game without softening it: the blade stays, the chase stays, and what is added is measured lanes, trained marshals, a scoreboard and prize money worth traveling for. 03 · Assets available
Drop-zone and lane-side access requires separate photographer accreditation, which opens with the host announcement. Broadcast rights and clip licensing are handled directly by the press desk. 04 · Interviews and accessFounder interviews are available in English, French and Haitian Kreyòl. During championship week, marshals, officials, youth-lane coaches and competitors can be arranged with a day's notice; competitor interviews in Spanish, Romanian and Portuguese are supported by the event translators. Story angles we can support with access and data: the safety regime and how a bladed sport is insured; the diaspora field and where competitors travel from; kite makers and the re-coverable frame; and the comparison between the Haitian form and the Brazilian, Indian, Pakistani and Japanese traditions. 05 · Style and terminology
